SUPPORTING LITERACY and LEARNING IN YOUR HOMES
SUPPORTING LITERACY and LEARNING IN YOUR HOMES
All pupils need support with their learning and the support that comes from their homes is much more lasting and effective than the best that any school can give them. Furthermore, the development of good literacy skills is at the heart of all achievement across all subjects. Every student can find support in his studies in the best writing services, which can help you with your homework.
However, many parents lack the confidence or feel ill-equipped to help their children, especially as their children face the demands and challenges of their post-primary studies. Even for those parents who feel they are “doing a good job” or “have the homework sorted”, there is always room to learn more from an expert.
To this end we have organised a programme of evening seminars for parents, to help them help their children.
The programme will be delivered by Mrs Kate O’Hanlon, former chief Literacy Adviser to the SELB and a prominent author and consultant on literacy issues.
To gain maximum benefit from this very informative and strategy-rich programme, attendance at all three sessions would be recommended. However, if you cannot make all three sessions, you are more than welcome to come along for one or two of them.
These events are for parents and guardians, not pupils.
